Who doesn’t love glowing skin? A correct sleeping pattern, CTM routine, maintaining the right diet, exercising and using the right rejuvenating creams are the key mantras for getting glowing complexion. However, it could not be possible for all of us to follow this routine perfectly. If you are pressed for time and are looking at options to get a glowing skin overnight, here are a couple of tried and tested natural ways for glowing skin that you could try.
#1.Apple and cream face pack :
This face pack helps to make the skin smooth and soft. It helps to re-hydrate the skin, especially in winters. To make this face pack that is used before sleeping, peel off one apple skin and soak the apples in water for a few minutes. Cut the apple into pieces and grind them to make a paste. Add half a bowl of cream to this apple paste. Mix both the ingredients well and apply on the face and neck. Keep the pack for 10-15 minutes and then rinse with lukewarm water. Using the apple and cream face pack at night helps to remove the dirt and dead skin, making the skin soft and beautiful.
#2.The Rice and Sesame Scrub:
This is one of my favourite and most simple home remedy to make scrub that gives you a glow instantly.
- Soak equal amounts of rice and sesame seeds overnight
- Grind to a fine scrub consistency in the morning
- Apply over your body and face and leave it on for a minute or two
- Wash off with cool water
While the sesame nourishes and moisturizes your skin, the rice grains will exfoliate gently. This is a perfect body and face polish.
#3.Oatmeal face pack:
Another homemade face pack that can be used at night before sleeping is the oatmeal face pack. To make this mask, take 2 tablespoons of instant oats. Add oil to the oats and make a paste. Add 1 spoon of honey and 2-3 drops of lemon juice in the oatmeal paste. Apply this paste on the face and neck. When the paste starts drying, scrub and remove it from the skin. The face pack removes the dead skin and encourages growth of new skin cells.
Milk is another wonderful natural way for glowing skin.
- Apply a very thin layer of low fat milk on your face
- Massage with upward strokes, till the milk is totally absorbed by your skin
- Wash your face with a mild face wash in the morning and pat dry
Milk not only helps to clear dark facial spots but also nourishes the skin as you sleep.
Curd face pack should not be used in winters because curd is cold in nature. Use this pack in the summers to make your face look fresh and glowing. To use this pack, take a bowl of curd and beat it properly. Add 2-3 drops of lemon juice in it. Apply the mixture evenly on your face and neck. Keep the face pack for 10 minutes, wipe the curd off with a tissue and then wash your face with cold water. Curd removes dead skin, dirt and bacteria responsible for acne.
#6.For Your Eyes:
While you get the glow on your face, don’t forget the eyes! Constant exposure to computers and lack of sleep can leave you with dark circles. You can use these simple ways for healthy eyes:
- Use a comforting eye contour gel that works on hydrating the skin around your eyes as you sleep
- Use an eye mask to cover your eyes while you sleep
- Wash your eyes with cold water when you wake up
Your dark circles would not have vanished, but your eyes will look fresh!
