Maruti Suzuki S-Cross has been launched in Mumbai. The crossover from the Indo-Japanese company was launched in Delhi yesterday, and will be available through the Nexa dealerships only.
The long wait for Maruti Suzuki‘s much-hyped premium crossover – the S-Cross – has finally come to an end, as the company today rolled out the vehicle at a starting price of Rs. 8.34 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The S-Cross will be sold exclusively through the company’spremium dealership range – Nexa. The company has a total of 35 Nexa dealerships currently, and it plans to have 100 such dealerships across the nation by the end of this year.
Among the handful of upcoming Maruti cars in 2015 is the highly anticipated S-Cross crossover, which has been already spied a gazillion times on our country’s public roads. The Maruti S-Cross is related to the now defunct SX4 and will soon lock horns with some highly successful compact SUVs in India.
The Maruti Suzuki S-Cross is available in two diesel engine options – 1.3-litre and 1.6-litre Multi-jet – both of which have been sourced from Fiat. While the 1.3-litre is the same motor that does duty on several Maruti Suzuki cars, the 1.6-litre will make its debut in India with the S-Cross.
